Lucerne on Silk
Surrounded by an impressive mountain panorama, Lucerne lies on Lake Lucerne, which is loaded with Swiss history. Whether it's for the Chapel Bridge, the Jesuit Church, the Culture and Congress Center, the Lion Monument, the shopping miles, or for Mount Rigi and Pilatus: countless guests from all over the world visit Lucerne. And with its motifs, the foulard "Lucerne" provides the perfect image of all these famous landmarks.
Designed by Zurich artist Karin Birkenmeier. Printed at the Mitlödi silk printing mill in the canton of Glarus, the last silk printing mill in Switzerland, which has since closed. Hand-rolled by seamstresses in the canton of Appenzell.
