Interlaken on Silk
Tourists from all over the world travel to Interlaken to admire Jungfraujoch with Sphinx, Aletsch Glacier – the largest glacier in the Alps – Ice Palace and Glacier Railway. The silk foulard "Interlaken" additionally presents Lake Thun and Lake Brienz, the historic Hotel Viktoria Jungfrau, the most beautiful mountain flowers and much more of this uniquely beautiful Swiss Alpine region.
Designed by Zurich artist Karin Birkenmeier. Printed at the Mitlödi silk printing mill in the canton of Glarus, the last silk printing mill in Switzerland, which has since closed. Hand-rolled by seamstresses in the canton of Appenzell.
