Geneva on Silk
Geneva, the Switzerland's most international city, is seat of countless international organizations, cradle of watchmaking and of many chocolate manufacturers as well as an international research location. The foulard "Geneva" impresses with the city's water fountain, Lake Geneva, vineyards, international motor show, luxury watch dials as well as the CERN accelerator, the UN building and the Mont Blanc – and with many other landmarks of the smallest metropolis in the world.
Designed by Zurich artist Karin Birkenmeier. Printed at the Mitlödi silk printing mill in the canton of Glarus, the last silk printing mill in Switzerland, which has since closed. Hand-rolled by seamstresses in the canton of Appenzell.
