Davos on Silk
Davos is home of the Magic Mountain, the most beautiful side valleys, the Spengler Cup, and the World Economic Forum. No wonder that Davos with its lake and fantastic mountains is known as a top destination internationally. The silk scarf "Davos" reflects the magic of Europe's highest city with snow star, Parsennbahn, ibex, pinecone, Golden Eye, the world-famous Davos sled – and much more.
Designed by Zurich artist Karin Birkenmeier. Printed at the Mitlödi silk printing mill in the canton of Glarus, the last silk printing mill in Switzerland, which has since closed. Hand-rolled by seamstresses in the canton of Appenzell.
