A silk scarf is anything but old-fashioned. Worn in your hair, as a top, around your waist or casually with jeans, it's a versatile fashion accessory that gives any outfit a personal twist. The Swiss silk scarves by beyondSilk combine eye-catching designs with 100% silk and Swiss-made quality.

1. In your hair: from beach vibes to city chic

As a bandana, tied around a ponytail or woven loosely into a braid: a silk scarf instantly adds colour and personality to your look. Especially cool with jeans, a white T-shirt and sunglasses. A style that works just as well in Zurich as it does on a beach in Ibiza.

2. As a top: a real statement piece

A large silk scarf can be tied in different ways to create a stylish top. Pair it with wide-leg trousers, jeans or a skirt for a summer look that's effortlessly cool and elegant at the same time.

Measuring 100 × 100 cm, beyondSilk scarves offer plenty of styling possibilities.

3. On your bag: small detail, big impact

Give a simple handbag an instant makeover with a colourful silk scarf. Just wrap it around the handle or tie it loosely to the side. It works equally well with a designer bag or your favourite vintage find.

4. As a belt: effortless denim style

Thread a silk scarf through your belt loops or tie it loosely around your waist. It looks particularly good with denim, a simple T-shirt or a summer dress. A small styling detail that turns a basic outfit into something special.

5. Around your neck: classic with a twist

A silk scarf with a blazer? Absolutely. But instead of tying it neatly, wear it loosely with an oversized blazer, jeans and trainers. It's a fresh take on a timeless accessory.

Swiss design that lasts

beyondSilk scarves are more than beautiful accessories. Each design tells a story about Switzerland: from Zurich and Lucerne to Davos, St. Moritz and Interlaken.

Created by Zurich-based artist Karin Birkenmeier, the scarves were printed at the traditional Mitlödi silk printing mill in the canton of Glarus and hand-hemmed in Appenzell.

100% silk. 100% Swiss made.

When Switzerland's last silk printing mill closed at the end of 2023, it marked the end of an era. The scarves can no longer be reproduced, making the current collection the final edition.

A unique accessory for anyone who prefers expressing their own style to following every trend.

Frequently asked questions

How do you tie a large square silk scarf?

First fold it diagonally into a triangle, or roll it from one corner into a narrow band. Wear the triangle loosely around your neck and the band in your hair, as a belt or on the handle of your bag.

Can you wear a silk scarf as a top?

Yes. At 100 × 100 cm the scarf is large enough to tie as a top, for example folded diagonally and knotted at the back.

What do you wear with a silk scarf?

Jeans, a white T-shirt, a blazer or a simple dress. The scarf brings the colour, the rest can stay quiet.

How big are beyondSilk scarves?

100 × 100 cm, crêpe de Chine, 100% silk, with a hand-rolled hem.

Where does beyondSilk deliver?
